Sustainability is our top priority. That's why we make conscious decisions when it comes to producing and transporting our products. We make sure that the timber (Khaya wood) we use is sourced from local plantations practicing sustainable harvesting techniques. Transportation takes place by sea freight and for packaging we only use recycled paper to protect our goods.
We only work with skilled artisans who turn, sand and polish each piece to perfection. We value the integrity of people, not machines. With great craftsmanship comes incomparable shapes and smoothness. Every time you use your Khaya wood cups, bowls or plates, you can feel the difference.
Designed to last
We provide 100% natural and unique tableware for living a more eco-conscious lifestyle. Our products are designed to last generations and are created with a great focus on environmental sustainability. Khaya works exclusively with producers who practice fair trade business, and is extremely selective when it comes to choosing materials.
Our Khaya wood items are created from sustainable Khaya wood. The Khaya trees grown also for their fruit, its oil is used for cosmetics and for cook oil. Once the trees have stopped bearing fruit, they can be cut down and used to make our wooden tableware. The farmers are planting new trees for every cut down tree.
